Summer Goalie Camp

The 2026 Summer Goalie Camp is a 4 day camp held June 15-18, 2026. Instruction will be all on-ice and include technical goalie training for Angels youth goalies. This is an exclusive camp ran by Carter Krier and Hank Johnson.

Carter is currently an Assistant Coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes (NCAA Division I Men). His experience across multiple levels of hockey translates seamlessly into his coaching, and his work ethic and commitment to developing goaltenders has been outstanding.

A native of the Fargo–Moorhead area, Carter played his high school hockey at East Grand Forks before beginning his coaching career shortly after graduation. He later moved on to the Fargo Force (USHL), where he was part of the 2023–24 Clark Cup championship season. Most recently, Carter was hired as an Assistant Coach at The Ohio State University.

Carter has worked with several former Angels goaltenders, including Merik Grinaker, and is excited to give back to the Angels hockey community by offering this camp to Angels youth goalies.

Hank, a Minnesota native, brings elite playing experience and a proven coaching background to the goalies in our program. His hockey resume includes Breck School, junior hockey in the CCHL, and NCAA Division I competition at Bemidji State and Mercyhurst. While at Mercyhurst, Hank earned Richter Award nominee honors and was named the team’s MVP. He went on to complete his playing career at the professional level in the SPHL.

Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Hank most recently spent two successful seasons with the Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL) as Goaltending Coach and Assistant Coach. He now brings that high-level experience and passion for goalie development to the Fargo Force and Angels Hockey.
