Angels Coach Registration
Registration Steps & Requirements
To coach with the Angels, You must complete USA Hockey registration as a Coach first. You'll need to meet both registration & certification requirements. Registration is an annual online process, and certification is also mandatory. Once you register as a Coach with USA Hockey you can then register with the Angels.
(Must be completed before participating in any team activities)
Obtain a USA Hockey Coach Membership: This is your initial registration as a USA Hockey member. The cost is $52, plus any applicable affiliate fees (typically $15).

Provide Your USA Hockey Number when registering with the Angels as a Coach: This step helps us keep track of your background check, Coaching Education Program (CEP) level, and modules. It also ensures you can be officially added to a team roster in the USA Hockey database.

Note: If you're not currently logged in, or don't currently have an Angels website login through Crossbar, you will be prompted to login and/or create a login before registering.
Background Check Submission: You must complete and pass a background screening. This screening is valid for two years, so if you completed it last year, you're all set for this season. Please note that only screenings submitted through this specific process are accepted.

SafeSport Training or Refresher: New coaches must complete the USA Hockey SafeSport Training, and all coaches need to complete an annual refresher. You cannot coach or supervise players in any capacity until this is finished.
USA Hockey Level/Age Module: Complete the online age-specific module(s) for the age group you'll be coaching. Each module costs $10 and only needs to be completed once per age level. You must complete this before participating in any team activities and cannot be added to a roster until it's done. The lowest age level is 8U.

USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP) Certification Clinic Requirements
(Must be completed by December 31st for the current season)
Attend a Certification Clinic: You'll need to find, register for, and attend a required certification clinic.7 The cost is $55. You can only attend one clinic per season, and all coaches begin at Level 1. Clinics are available from April 1st to December 31st each season. While Zoom options are available, there are usually 1-2 in-person clinics in the Fargo area, and we'll notify coaches once details are finalized.

Login and click on "My Profile" to access current data, courses and certification history.
Click on "Coaching Information" to access the status of your CEP, when it expires, Modules completed, status of SafeSport and when to renew, and status of your background check and when to renew.
