New Angels 15U Girls Team - 2026-27 Season

FARGO, ND – March 24, 2026 — Angels Girls Hockey is continuing its upward trajectory with the announcement of a new 15U team set to launch for the 2026–27 season. The expansion reflects both the rapid growth of the program and a strategic commitment to long-term player development within the organization.

Following a successful inaugural season at the 10U and 12U travel levels, the addition of a 15U team represents a critical next step. The move ensures that players aging out of 12U will have a clear and consistent pathway to continue their development within the Angels program, rather than seeking opportunities elsewhere. Program leadership has also noted an increase in interest from players outside the organization that attend Angel network schools and homeschool, signaling broader momentum with Angels Girls Hockey across the metro area.

“We will 100% be adding15U next season,” said John Kosobud, Co-Hockey Director for Angels. “There is enough interest both within and outside of our program to support it.” "We are building this program the right way and believe in the culture we are creating. We want girls that want to play here, not have to play here! That is the difference.", Kosobud adds.

The expansion is viewed as a key development piece—not only for retaining current players but also for preparing athletes for the next level. The 15U team will provide a bridge for players transitioning toward high school hockey, offering them an opportunity to continue building skills, confidence, and game experience before entering varsity competition.

The addition of the 15U team aligns with the organization’s broader vision of building a complete development pathway for female athletes—from youth hockey through high school and beyond.

In preparation for the upcoming season, the 15U level has already been integrated into the Angels’ 2026 summer training lineup. This includes participation in Spring High Performance sessions, Sanford Summer Hockey School, Power Skating camps, and Puck Skills development programs.

Families interested in learning more about the new 15U team or upcoming training opportunities are encouraged to reach out for additional information.
